Solution:
Steps of construction
1. Construct a line segment AB of length 6 cm
2. Construct an arc of radius 6 cm from the point A
3. Construct another arc of radius 6 cm from the point B which cuts the previous arc at A
4. Now join A to C and B to C.
Therefore, ABC is the required triangle.
