Construct a triangle ABC in which BC = 7.5 cm, ∠B = 45° and AB - AC = 4 cm.
Solution:
Steps of construction
1. Construct a line segment BC = 7.5 cm
2. Construct an angle 45° at B
3. Now mark 4 cm from B and extend BD upto X
4. Join D to C
5. Construct perpendicular bisector PQ on DC
6. Let PQ intersect BX at the point A and join AC
7. So triangle ABC is the required triangle.
Therefore, a triangle ABC is constructed above.
✦ Try This: Construct a triangle ABC in which BC = 6.5 cm, ∠B = 45° and AB - AC = 5 cm.
