After 20 years, Manoj will be 5 times as old as he is now. Find his present age

Solution:

Let the present age of Manoj be x years

Then after 20 years, the age of Manoj be (x + 20) years

5x = (x + 20)

5x - x = 20

4x = 20

x = 20/4

x = 5

Thus, the present age of Manoj is 5 years.

Let the present age of Manish be x years

Then after 24 years, the age of Manoj be (x + 24) years

4x - x = 24
