Solution:
The Volume of water in the swimming pool = Length × Breadth × Depth
= 200 × 50 × 2 m³
= 20,000m³
By the end of the summer day the depth of the water reduces by 2cm
The depth gets reduced to (2 - 0.02) m = 1.98 m
Volume of water in the swimming pool by the end of the day = 200 × 50 × 1.98 m³ = 19,800m³
Volume of water lost = 20,000m³ - 19800m³ = 200m³

Volume of water in the swimming pool by the end of the day = 100 × 25 × 1.975 m³ = 4937.5m³
Volume of water lost = 5000m³ - 4937.50m³ = 62.5m³
