Solution:
Given, F = 40
E = 60
We have to find the number of vertices of the given polyhedron.
Euler’s formula for any polyhedron is given by
F + V – E = 2
Where F stands for number of faces,
V for number of vertices
E for number of edges.
Now, 40 + V - 60 = 2
V - 20 = 2
V = 20 + 2
V = 22
Therefore, the number of vertices is 22.
