Solution:
Given, E = 60
V = 40
We have to find the number of faces of the given polyhedron.
Euler’s formula for any polyhedron is given by
F + V – E = 2
Where F stands for number of faces,
V for number of vertices
E for number of edges.
Now, F + 40 - 60 = 2
F - 20 = 2
F = 20 + 2
F = 22
Therefore, the number of faces is 22.
