A lady bought an air-conditioner for Rs 15,200 and spent Rs 300 and Rs 500 on its transportation and repair respectively. At what price should she sell it to make a gain of 15%
Solution:
Cost Price of an air-conditioner = Rs. 15,200
Transportation Charges = Rs. 300
Repair Charges = Rs. 500
Transportation Charges + Repair Charges = Rs. 300 + Rs. 500 = Rs. 800
Final Cost Price (CP) of the air-conditioner = Rs. 15,200 + Rs. 800 = Rs. 16,000
Selling Price(SP) to make a gain of 15% = Rs. (115/100) × 16,000 = Rs. 18,400
