Solution:
If the radius of the bicycle wheel, the distance it moves in one revolution = Circumference of the bicycle wheel = 2πr
Where r = radius of the bicycle wheel
The distance moved by the bicycle wheel in 500 revolutions = 1 km
Hence we can write
500 × 2πr = 1km = 1000m
1000 × πr = 1000
πr = 1
r = 1/π m
Diameter = 2/π m
