8 × 10⁶ + 2 × 10⁴ + 5 × 10² + 9 × 10⁰ = 8020509. State whether the given statement is true or false

Given, (8 × 10⁶) + (2 × 10⁴) + (5 × 10²) + (9 × 10⁰) = 8020509.

We have to determine if the given statement is true or false.

LHS : Considering (8 × 10⁶) + (2 × 10⁴) + (5 × 10²) + (9 × 10⁰),

8 × 10⁶ = 8 × 1000000 = 8000000

2 × 10⁴ = 2 × 10000 = 20000

5 × 10² = 5 × 100 = 500

9 × 10⁰ = 9 × 1 = 9

Now, 8000000 + 20000 + 500 + 9 = 8020000 + 509

= 8020509

= RHS

LHS = RHS

Therefore, the given statement is true.
