1-2-3: Can you count to Taylor Swift’s beat?
Lo and Behold! “Can you believe it?”, I yelled.
“Hey, what's it Dee?”, asked Eve.
“Ooh! Look what you made me do!”, I broke into a dance and started singing...
Taylor Swift is coming to town! I could almost scream out loud! Never in a zillion years would I have imagined being able to see my favorite artist perform live on stage. Will I be able to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?
Eve is also a Taylor Swift fan. Both of us decided to go together after taking permission from our parents. As we did baby-sitting in our free time, we had money saved up; Eve said she had $300. Will I have enough money to spend on my own?
Mom and dad always insisted that we have dinner together as a family. Tada - that’s my plan! The first question my Dad would ask would surely be about the cost. Well, let’s see:
- The tickets cost $175 per person
- Then we will need to take a bus to the train station, which will cost me $9.60
- The train fare to the city will be $15.40
- Once we reach the city, we will have to take a taxi to get to the stadium. I looked upon the internet for taxi charges from the city to the stadium and it came to be around $25
Total of $175 for the ticket and $75 for transportation. That’s $250 per person! Eve had it, did I?"
There still remain three studies suitable for free man. Arithmetic is one of them.

Dinnertime is one word. It was leftovers night, so mom and dad were happy as no one had to cook! There was my chance; I put it forward.
“How much will it cost?”
“Dad, it will be around $275. I already have $345. So that should be enough”.
“Who will go with you?”
“Eve”
Eve and I walked out of the stadium with a sore throat and a pumping heart. We laughed so much that it hurt. In addition to the expenses for the ticket, travel, and snacks, we had enough to pick up T-shirts at the stadium!
Let’s assume you have 3 months to buy that one thing you have your eyes on before it becomes unavailable for a long time. How much do you need to save every week?
