How to Find an Obtuse Triangle Calculator?
As we know that an obtuse triangle is a triangle whose one interior angle is greater than 90°. An obtuse-angled triangle can be scalene or isosceles, but never equilateral. So if any of the interior angles of the triangles is greater than 90° then the given triangle is an obtuse triangle.
Solved Examples on Obtuse Triangle Calculator
Example 1:
Find whether the triangle ABC with interior angles as 20°, 50°, and 110° is an acute or obtuse triangle.
Solution:
The different angles of the triangle are
a = 20°
b = 50°
c = 110°
Since angle c is greater than 90° i.e. 110°
So, the triangle ABC is an obtuse triangle.
Example 2:
Find whether the triangle ABC with interior angles as 40°, 60°, and 130° is an acute or obtuse triangle.
Solution:
The different angles of the triangle are
a = 40°
b = 60°
c = 130°
Since angle c is greater than 90° i.e. 130°
So, the triangle ABC is an obtuse triangle.
Example 3:
Find whether the triangle ABC with interior angles as 20°, 45°, and 45° is an acute or obtuse triangle.
Solution:
The different angles of the triangle are
a = 20°
b = 45°
c = 45°
Since angle c is less than 90° i.e. 45°
So, the triangle ABC is not an obtuse triangle.
