What is the solution to -2|2.2x - 3.3| = -6.6?
x = -3, x = 3, x = -3, x = 0
Solution :
Given equation -2|2.2x - 3.3| = -6.6
For solving mod divide both sides of the given equation by -2
We get,
|2.2x - 3.3| = 3.3
Now, when we will remove the absolute value term it will create a (+/-) sign on the right side of the equation.
That is |x| = (+/-)x
⇒ 2.2x - 3.3 = (+/-)3.3
Solving both case separately,
⇒ 2.2x - 3.3 = 3.3
⇒ 2.2x = 6.6
⇒ x = 3
2.2x - 3.3 = -3.3
2.2x = 0
⇒ x = 0
⇒ Hence the required solution is x = 3 and x = 0.
What is the solution to -2|2.2x - 3.3| = -6.6?
Summary:
The solution to the equation -2|2.2x - 3.3| = -6.6 is x = 3 and x = 0
