The sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is
(a) 180°
(b) 270°
(c) 360°
(d) 300°
Solution:
We have to find the sum of the angles of a quadrilateral.
Consider a quadrilateral RSTU
It can be split into two triangles as triangle RST and RUT
Angle sum property states that the sum of all three interior angles of a triangle is equal to 180°.
Since the quadrilateral has two triangles, the sum of angles of two triangles = 180° + 180°
= 360°
Sum of all angles of the quadrilateral RSTU is 360°
Therefore, the sum of all angles of a quadrilateral is 360°.
✦ Try This: The sum of all three interior angles of a triangle is (a) 180°, (b) 270°, (c) 360°, (d) 300°
