The four angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 3 : 4 : 5 : 6. Find the angles.
Solution:
Given, the four angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 3 : 4 : 5 : 6
We have to find the measure of the angles.
Let the angles be 3x, 4x, 5x and 6x.
We know that the sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is equal to 360 degrees.
So, 3x + 4x + 5x + 6x = 360°
7x + 11x = 360°
18x = 360°
x =360°/18
x = 20°
Now, 3x = 3(20°) = 60°
4x = 4(20°) = 80°
5x = 5(20°) = 100°
6x = 6(20°) = 120°
Therefore, the angles are 60°, 80°, 100° and 120°.
