Given, the base of a right triangle = 8 cm
Hypotenuse = 10 cm
We have to find the area
By using Pythagorean theorem,
Base² + height² = hypotenuse²
(8)² + height² = (10)²
height² = 100 - 64
height² = 36
Taking square root,
Height = 6 cm
Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height
= 1/2 × 8 × 6
= 4 × 6
= 24 cm²
Therefore, the area of right triangle is 24 cm²
