The area of a rectangular garden 50 m long is 300 sq m. Find the width of the garden
Solution:
Here the area is given as 300 sq m and the length is given as 50 m. Hence, we just need to substitute these values in the formula of the area of a rectangle and find the value of the width,
Let us see below,
Area of rectangular garden = length(l) × width(w)
⇒ 300 = 50 × w
⇒ w = 300 / 50
⇒ w = 6 m
Therefore, 6 m is the width of the garden.
