Solution:

Let the number be x

A/Q

7x + 12 = 13x

13x - 7x = 12

6x = 12

x = 12/6

x = 2

Thus, the required number is 2.

5x + 15 = 8x

8x - 5x = 15

3x = 15

x = 15/3

x = 5

Thus, the required number is 5.
