Given, Radhika borrowed ₹12000 from her friends.
?4000 were borrowed at 18% and remaining at 15% rate of interest per annum.
We have to find the total interest after 3 years.
We know, Interest I = P × R × T/100
According to the question,
P1 = ₹4000
R1 = 18%
T = 3 years
I1 = 4000 × 18 × 3/100
= 40 × 18 × 3
= 120 × 18
I1 = ?2160
P2 = ?12000 - ?4000 = ?8000
R2 = 15%
T = 3 years
I2 = 8000 × 15 × 3/100
= 80 × 15 × 3
= 250 × 15
I2 = ₹3600
Total interest = I1 + I2
= 2160 + 3600
= 5760
Therefore, the total interest is ₹5760.
