In the Fig.5.7, we have ∠1 = ∠2, ∠2 = ∠3. Show that ∠1 = ∠3. Solve using Euclid’s axiom
Solution:
The figure represents a quadrilateral ABCD.
Given, ∠1 = ∠2 ------------------ (1)
Also, ∠2 = ∠3 -------------------- (2)
We have to show that ∠1 = ∠3.
From (1) and (2),
∠1 = ∠2 = ∠3
By using Euclid’s axiom,
The things which are equal to the same thing are equal to one another.
Therefore, ∠1 = ∠3
