Find the area of each of the following triangles:
Solution:
(a) Base = 4 cm, Height = 3 cm
Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height
= 1/2 × 4 cm × 3 cm
= 6 cm2
(b) Base = 5 cm, Height = 3.2 cm
Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height
= 1/2 × 5 cm × 3.2 cm
= 8 cm2
(c) Base = 3 cm, Height = 4 cm
Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height
= 1/2 × 3 cm × 4 cm
= 6 cm2
(d) Base = 3 cm, Height = 2 cm
Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height
= 1/2 × 3 cm × 2 cm
= 3 cm2
