Diagonals of a quadrilateral ABCD bisect each other. If ∠A = 35º, determine ∠B.
Solution:
It is given that
Diagonals of a quadrilateral ABCD bisect each other, so it is a parallelogram
∠A = 35º
As the sum of interior angles between two parallel lines is 180º
∠A + ∠B = 180º
Substituting the values
35º + ∠B = 180º
∠B = 180º - 35º
So we get
∠B = 145º
Therefore, ∠B = 145º.
✦ Try This: Diagonals of a quadrilateral PQRS bisect each other. If ∠P = 45º, determine ∠Q.
