We have to find the quantity of milk needed to serve 1600 students.
Volume of cylinder = πr²h
Where, r is the radius of cylinder
h is the height of the cylinder
Given, r = 7/2 = 3.5 cm
h = 12 cm
Volume of one glass = π(3.5)²(12)
= 22(3.5)(0.5)(12)
= 462 cm³
Volume of 1600 glasses = 1600(462)
= 739200
We know, 1 cm³ = 1000 litres
= 739200/1000
= 739.2 litres
Therefore, the quantity of milk required is 739.2 litres.
