A coin is tossed 3 times. List the possible outcomes. Find the probability of getting at least 2 heads
Solution:
Given, a coin is tossed 3 times.
We have to find the probability of getting at least 2 heads.
When a coin is tossed three times.
The possible outcomes are {TTT, HHH, TTH, THT, THH, HTT, HTH, HHT}
Number of possible outcomes = 8
Favourable outcomes = {THH, HTH, HHT, HHH}
Number of favourable outcomes = 4
Probability = number of favourable outcomes / number of possible outcomes
Probability of getting all heads = 4/8
Therefore, the probability of getting all heads = 1/2
