Solution:
Given, AB||CD and AF||ED.
Also, ∠AFC = 68° and ∠FED = 42°
We have to find the measure of ∠EFD.
Considering AF and ED are parallel with EF as transversal,
If two parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, each pair of alternate interior angles is equal.
So, ∠AFE = ∠FED
Now, ∠AFE = 42°
We know that the sum of the angles lying on a straight line is equal to 180 degrees.
∠AFC + ∠AFE + ∠EFD = 180°
68° + 42° + ∠EFD = 180°
110° + ∠EFD = 180°
∠EFD = 180° - 110°
Therefore, ∠EFD = 70°
